Navigation: Saints Row Guide > Hostage
Before we go any further, I want to take a paragraph to talk about Hostage, because it can come up from time to time. If you get in the driver's seat of a car that has a passenger, chances are you will be given the opportunity to run Hostage. All this means is you have to drive around quickly for a certain amount of time (anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute and a half), while your police wanted level steadily rises, and for this you will get anywhere from 250 to 1,000 respect and $300 to $1,500 upon completion. The amount you get is dependent on the quality of the car you are jacking.
Note that it is possible to capture up to three hostages at the same time, which makes things a bit more difficult (your wanted level will rise faster and it will be a longer run), but the rewards are greater. Anyway, run these if you like or ignore them if you want. They have no effect on your completion percentage. If you take at least 50 people hostage you will earn the Negotiator Achievement.
